Perfect Plant Hemp Co. is Tennessee’s premier source for cannabis and Marijuana news. Our aim is to combine cannabis culture with the latest news on marijuana legalization in Tennessee and throughout the country. Middle Tennessee has seen the rise of a new industry: hemp. As farming and retail shops keep booming, here's what you need to know. We'll start with the elephant in the room: yes, it's legal. Hemp and products containing less the 0.3 percent THC are still
The topic of CBD efficacy can often stir a rousing debate. I am sure I am not the only one who has received a verbal ear beating about CBD being a placebo by non-believing friends. I have also frequently seen many change their mind after trying reputable products.
With a vast array of products on the market and a lack of regulation, these aren’t always easy to find. As a result, many are finding themselves in possession of ineffective CBD. When they discover this, they often believe it to be representative of the entire industry.
While there are times that CBD may be ineffective for a specific need, it’s more often a poor product.
There’s no bigger shame than the one I felt as a new cannabis user when my friend smelled the jar I kept my flower in. After breathing in deeply, he looked at me and said “my guy, whatever you paid for this, it was too much.”
The issue was not an unpleasant odor but, rather, no odor at all.
That odor is largely made up of terpenes: aromatic essential oils the cannabis plant secretes along with cannabinoids. Terpene profiles can vary greatly between strains and is a large part of what distinguishes one from another. It is terpenes that give each cannabis strain its unique smell and flavor profile.
Whatever an opinion may be of any given senator, we have to agree that they are all (at least mostly) smart. If that’s the case, there is no way that they can honestly believe the ludicrous notion of criminalization. Marijuana has been a Schedule 1 narcotic since 1970. This is a category reserved for substances with no medicinal use and a high potential for abuse. Marijuana has never shown any signs of meeting either criterion.
The brainwashing against cannabis was so stupendous even by 1984 when Jack Herer wrote his pro-hemp book The Emperor Wears no Clothes. Back then, many considered it absurd and far-fetched. Others found it groundbreaking and futuristic. Both were wrong.
Much of the focus of the book is on the need for replacements for petroleum and tree-based products. While this may seem innovative, the book was largely stating things that were common knowledge a few years prior.
Where to Find CBD Products In Nashville
We’ll start with the elephant in the room: yes, it’s legal. Hemp and products containing less the 0.3 percent THC are still considered cannabis, but they’re not marijuana. Hemp goes light on the THC and heavy on the CBD, meaning whether you smoke it, ingest it, or use a pain cream, there’s no high to be found.
Whether you’re in chronic pain or just need to chill, CBD shops have you covered. These products have proven to be an effective treatment for a wide scope of issues. From cancer and Parkinson’s to anxiety and depression, people are lining up for a non-habit forming aid to their afflictions. Don’t forget your four-legged friends, either! Whether your pet gets overly-excited, nervous, or has joint pain, some shops carry an oil that will sort it out.
The acceptance of CBD has also paved the way for kratom, a natural substance in the coffee family. Much like CBD, kratom can be used to treat anxiety and depression. Its unique properties can also be used as a stimulant and to treat opiate withdrawal.
